Євробачення-2026 у Відні стало одним із найбільш непередбачуваних та емоційних конкурсів останніх років. Головною сенсацією вечора стала історична перемога Болгарії. Тріумф країні принесла співачка DARA з піснею “Bangaranga”. Болгарський номер поєднав сучасний поп із національними мотивами та естетикою традиційних “кукерів” — давнього болгарського обряду, під час якого люди в масках і дзвонах символічно “виганяють злих духів”. Саме цей етнічний колорит, помножений на сучасну постановку, і зробив виступ одним із найяскравіших у фіналі.
У підсумку Болгарія набрала 516 балів та вперше за всю історію участі перемогла на Євробаченні, випередивши Ізраїль і Румунію. У голосуванні професійного журі Україна посіла лише 15 місце. Найвищу оцінку — 12 балів — поставила Швейцарія. Ще 10 балів український номер отримав від Азербайджану. Італія, Велика Британія та Латвія дали по 7 балів, Франція — 6, Португалія — 3, а Польща та Румунія — по одному балу. Водночас українське журі віддало максимальні 12 балів Мальті. Оглядачі The Guardian, Reuters та El País вже назвали Євробачення-2026 “поверненням справжньої інтриги” та одним із найбільш політизованих конкурсів останніх років.

Eurovision 2026 in Vienna became one of the most unpredictable and emotional contests in recent years. The biggest sensation of the evening was Bulgaria’s historic victory. The country’s triumph was brought by singer DARA with the song “Bangaranga.” The Bulgarian performance combined modern pop music with national motifs and the aesthetics of the traditional “Kukeri” ritual — an ancient Bulgarian custom in which people wearing masks and bells symbolically “drive away evil spirits.” This ethnic atmosphere, combined with a modern stage production, made the performance one of the brightest and most memorable of the final.
In the end, Bulgaria scored 516 points and won Eurovision for the first time in its history, surpassing Israel and Romania. The Spanish newspaper El País wrote that Bulgaria had “brought folklore back to the center of Eurovision,” while Euronews called the final “the most intense in recent years,” noting that the Bulgarian singer had not been considered one of the main favorites before the competition.
Ukraine was represented this year by singer LELÉKA with the song “Ridnym.” The Ukrainian entry finished in 9th place, receiving 221 points. Interestingly, the performance was received much more warmly by viewers than by the professional jury: Ukraine received only 54 points from the juries, while the televote brought 167 points. It was the audience’s support that allowed the Ukrainian contestant to reach the top ten of the final.
Many viewers and critics described LELÉKA’s performance as one of the most atmospheric of the evening. The song “Ridnym” combined ethnic sounds, modern arrangements, and emotional vocals. At the end of the performance, the singer shouted “Glory to Ukraine!”, after which the arena erupted in applause. In the professional jury voting, Ukraine finished only 15th. Switzerland awarded the Ukrainian entry the highest score of 12 points. Azerbaijan gave 10 points, while Italy, the United Kingdom, and Latvia each awarded 7 points. France gave 6 points, Portugal 3, and Poland and Romania gave one point each. At the same time, the Ukrainian jury awarded its maximum 12 points to Malta. Reviewers from The Guardian, Reuters, and El País have already described Eurovision 2026 as “the return of real intrigue” and one of the most politicized contests in recent years.
