У 2025 році в Естонії відбудеться XXI Танцювальне свято під назвою "Iseoma", що в перекладі означає "своєрідне". Цей національний фестиваль, що відбуватиметься з 3 по 6 липня в Таллінні, представить самобутні танцювальні традиції кожного з восьми регіонів країни. Участь візьмуть понад 8 000 танцюристів з усієї Естонії та закордонних естонських громад. Фестиваль стане втіленням культурного розмаїття — на сцені виступатимуть колективи з Північного та Західного узбережжя, Тартуського та Кагу регіонів, Сакали, Пярнумаа, центральної частини країни, а також зі столиці. До участі долучилися також представники "Üleilma" — танцювальні групи естонців, які мешкають за межами країни. Важливо, що кожен регіон представить не просто танець, а цілісну історію про свою ідентичність, музику та звичаї. Із населенням близько 1,3 мільйона осіб, Естонія демонструє потужний приклад збереження нематеріальної культурної спадщини. Танцювальне свято є однією з ключових подій національного масштабу, яке не лише вшановує минуле, а й об’єднує покоління у любові до традиційного мистецтва.
10,972 dancers embody the rhythms of Estonia’s unity
In 2025, Estonia will host the XXI Dance Festival titled "Iseoma" — a word that translates to “unique” or “one’s own”. Taking place from 3 to 6 July in Tallinn, this national celebration will highlight the rich dance traditions of all eight regions of the country. More than 8,000 dancers from across Estonia and Estonian communities abroad are set to take part in this vibrant event.The festival will showcase the cultural diversity of Estonia, with performances from the North and West coasts, Tartu and the Southeast, Sakala, Pärnumaa, the central regions, as well as the capital. A special international category — "Üleilma" — will include Estonian dance groups from outside the country. Each region will present not just a dance, but a story reflecting its distinct identity, customs, and music, including traditional instruments like the Hiiu kannel and accordion.With a population of just 1.3 million, Estonia sets a powerful example of preserving intangible cultural heritage.
