22 листопада в паризькому кінотеатрі Lumière, у межах фестивалю ArtDoc відбувся спеціальний показ фільму «Час підльоту». Стрічка вже була представлена в багатьох європейських столицях і встигла викликати значний резонанс у міжнародній кіноспільноті. Протягом півтора року режисер документував життя у своєму рідному Львів — місті, де щоденне існування людей визначається постійною загрозою ворожих ракет. Час, за який ці ракети здатні досягти цілей, сьогодні формує ритм життя всієї країни. У центрі фільму — Львів під час війни та щоденна праця військового оркестру, який супроводжує поховання загиблих українських солдатів. Майже тригодинна хроніка фіксує невпинне зростання військового кладовища, людські трагедії, біль матерів, дружин і дітей, а також крихкі, вразливі надії на життя після втрат. Сам режисер наголошує: фільм про війну не може бути зручним для глядача. «Час підльоту» — це важкий, чесний і безкомпромісний погляд на справжню ціну війни та на те, що означає прощання з тими, хто більше ніколи не повернеться. Показ у Парижі знову і знову дає можливість глядачам побачити війну очима тих, чиє життя назавжди змінила щоденна траурна процесія.
On November 22, a special screening of the film The Time of Flight took place at the Lumière cinema in Paris as part of the ArtDoc festival. The film has already been presented in many European capitals and has generated significant resonance within the international film community. For a year and a half, the director documented life in his hometown of Lviv — a city where people’s daily existence is shaped by the constant threat of enemy missiles. The time it takes for these missiles to reach their targets now determines the rhythm of life across the entire country. At the heart of the film is wartime Lviv and the daily work of a military orchestra that accompanies the funerals of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. This nearly three-hour chronicle captures the relentless expansion of the military cemetery, human tragedies, the pain of mothers, wives, and children, as well as the fragile, vulnerable hopes for life after loss. The director himself emphasizes that a film about war cannot be comfortable for the viewer. The Time of Flight is a тяжелый, honest, and uncompromising look at the true cost of war and at what it means to say farewell to those who will never return. The screening in Paris once again gives audiences the opportunity to see the war through the eyes of those whose lives have been forever changed by the daily funeral procession.
